Peristilahan Persenjataan Tradisional Masyarakat Melayu di Kabupaten Sambas

The research objective of this study is to describe terminology traditional weapons Malay community in Sambas district based component of the meaning of terminology, terminology lexical meaning, and function of the role of traditional weaponry. Researchers using qualitative descriptive methods and assessment approaches lexical semantics. Source of data in this study, researchers took from Sambas Malay language speakers who know the terminology Sambas Malay weaponry. This study managed to collect terminology Sambas Malay traditional weaponry. Overall the data is collected with regard parts of weapons, weapons-making materials, motifs and designs, and how to use it. From this research collected 21 types of weapons, weapons parts 29, 21, 19 the manufacture of weapons and weapons design motif, 21 way consumer. Results of the research with the local culture of this region is expected to terinventarisasi and well documented to be useful especially in Enrichment materials teaching aids in schools to teach the local content of regional languages
