Ekstrak Kunyit (Curcuma Domestica) sebagai Anti Bakteri Aeromonas Hydrophila pada Ikan Patin (Pangasius SP.)

Turmeric is a herb and potential as antimicrobial. The objective of this study was to tigme out the clinical symptoms of catfish (Pangasius sp.) after infection by Aeromonas hydrophila, to determine the effect of turmeric extract (Curcumin domestica) on the survival rate of catfish that was infected by A. hydrophila and the optimum concentration of the extract. This study was carried out experimentally using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments of extract concentration (0; 0.4 ; 0.5 ; 0.6 ; and 0.7 ppt) and four repetitions. It was observed that the catfish had been cured using turmeric extract since12 days after infection. The results of ANOVA showed that the extract turmeric (Curcuma domestica) gave the significant effect on the survival rate of catfish (Pangasius sp). The higher survival rate was obtained at 0.7 ppt (77.5%)
