Peristilahan Pertukangan Pembuatan Rumah pada Masyarakat Melayu Kabupaten Sambas Menggunakan Kajian Etnolinguistik

This study aimed to describe the society carpentry manufacturing home Malay activities in Sambas Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a form of qualitative research. The approach used is entholinguistic approach. The sample of the study is the speech of Malay Sambas in the form of home-making terminology carpentry in Sambas Malay society manifested by several interviewees. The data in this study is the terminology in carpentry manufacturing home to the Sambas Malay society. The techniques of data collecting are recording and interviews. The tools of data collection are interview instrument and voice recorders. Based on the research done, the researcher managed to collect 154 lexemes as research data. The data consists of 55 pre-carpentary lexemes and 99 carpentry lexemes. The data is further classified into terminology based on tools, materials, processes, products, and the doers in the process of pre-carpentry and carpentary traditional Sambas Malay society
