Penerapan Sistem Poin dalam Menanggulangi Siswa yang Melanggar Aturan di SMA N 2 Pontianak

The purpose of conducting this research is to determine the application of the points system to overcome the problem that students break the rules in SMA N 2 Pontianak. The research applies qualitative approach with descriptive methods and this research involves 9 informants. The results shows that four stages which include notification, reprimand, warning and punishment. Notification stage is applied in student orientation period. The school informed about the rules of the school. The school also provided pictures of rules in the school and every classroom. In reprimand stage, there are direct reprimand and indirect reprimand. In warning stage, there are verbal warning and written warning. In the punishment stage, the school conducts suspension and home visit. The school also returns the student to the parents if it is necessary. The applying of points system in SMA N 2 Pontianak has a different impact on each student who breaks the rules, but based on the observation and interview to informants (students) this system has a deterrent effect on students so that they will not break the rules again
