International audienceThe objective of this article is to analyze the practice of wedding home movies in France. The study of this category of audiovisual production seeks to understand how families represent themselves in front of a camera and the identity or emotional issues of such a representation. In this respect, « meta-family » is identified as the self-meditative potential of the home movies practice, in that it encourages the individuals to question their own roles within the family group.
