Peningkatan Motivasi Belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial melalui Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Stad

This research aims to improve the motivation of studying IPS in class V SD Private Kartika V-8 City of Pontianak. The method used is descriptive method with the form of his research is the research action class. Based on the results of the research on teacher's increased learning planning cycle I of then are on 4,37 the increase in cycle II, 4,75. While in the process of implementation of the teacher in the learning cycle I 3,57 then experienced an increase of 4,03 in cycle II, and the percentage level of intrinsic motivation of students in cycle I of 48,57%, cycle II became 72,86% and experienced a change of 24,29%. While the percentage of extrinsic motivation level students in cycle I, 80% in cycle II became 90,86% and experienced a change of 10.86%
