Peningkatan Aktivitas Siswa dalam Pembelajaran IPA dengan Menggunakan Pendekatan Kontekstual di Kelas IV

This study aimed to obtain information about the improvement of students activities in learning Science Subject using contextual approach. This study used a descriptive study presented in the form of Class Action Research, which is implemented as a classroom teacher as researcher collaborates with colleagues. The subjects were fourth grade students totaling 20 students. This study was conducted in two cycles each cycle implemented as two meetings, each cycle includes the stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection tool used in this research is the observation sheets and student satisfaction questionnaire . The results showed an increase of students activities in the learning Science Subject at the first meeting of the first cycle of 49.9 %, in the second meeting at 69.59 %. Average activity in the first cycle was 59.73 %. Average student activity at the first meeting of the second cycle was 86.1 %, while the second meeting was 94.0 %, the average activity in the second cycle of 90.05 %, an increase from the beginning of the end of the first cycle to the second cycle is 30.32 %. In other words, the increase in activity that occurred at the end of the study categorized VERY HIGH
