Study of the preventive effects of cetronelix on blood-testis barrier and spermatogenesis injuries caused by chemotherapy wich cisplatin in adult Balb/C mice

Abstract Chemotherapy agents, in addition to cancer cells, target all dividing cells in clouding spermatogenic cells. These cells could be protected from the determintal effects of chemotherapy agents in addition of FSH and LH secretion using GnRH antagonist (cetrolix) . In the present study 30 male balb/c mice were randomly divided into 3 groups of control (receiving no treatment), experimental 1 (receiving a 2.5mg/kg/bw dose of cisplatin as intraperitoneal injection for 5 days) and experimental 2 (a group that received GnRH antagonist in addition to cisplatin). Five week safter the last injection, the mice were killed by cervical dislocation and testicular specimens were prepared for light and electron microscopy.
