The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of oxygen permeation from adding a high barrier shrink film to PET beer bottles at ambient temperature and humidity. The testing method used for this research is based off ASTM D 3985 \u27Standard Test Method for Oxygen Gas Transmission Rate through plastic film and sheeting using a coulmetric sensor.\u27 The test results indicated that there was statistical difference between the samples that were covered in barrier shrink film and those that were not covered. The results demonstrated that at ambient temperature and humidity, there was significant improvement over plain PET structures
