The MFA Thesis Exhibition is a presentation of ceramic sculpture. The theme for this body of work is a self-portrait that uses text as an integral part of the composition. The medium is clay, which interacts with the two-dimensional and three-dimensional properties of space. Therefore, it is my goal to establish a union with these dimensional properties. My tablet paintings serve to catalog significant events affecting both our culture and my life, resulting in a self-portrait. These paintings create a dialogue between the emotion of language, passage of time and the properties of space.
