The aim of the Bachelor’s thesis „Different Generations as TV audiences in 2011“ is to explore the main preferences, similarities and differences amongst three Estonian generations regarding media use, particularly TV viewing. The method for analysing the three generations is quantitative. The empirical material has been collected via a nationwide sociological survey „Mina. Maailm. Meedia 2011“(„Me. The World. The Media 2011“). Firstly, the selection was analysed based on different TV viewing indexes. It came forth that the main tendencies to describe the younger generation are that there are more frequent entertainment programme viewers and less TV news, talk show and documentary viewers.
