However, nowadays, they are fast growing family pattern both inside and outside Nigeria. The paper explored the issue of single parenthood and its implication to child rearing and health education. Different types of single parent families have been named, factors that differentiate them advanced. The paper also mentioned various causes of single parenthood as well as problems associated with the situation.
