A weather dynamics appraisal at the Malihabad farm and regional scale during 2010-11 clearly indicated overall detrimental impacts on Dashehari mango fruit production. The appraisal of key weather parameters with potential to impact mango crop phenology viz., temperature, rainfall, relative humidity, bright sunshine hours, wind speed, open pan evaporation indicated their possible influence. Conducive temperatures (Tmin) prevailed favouring FBD in the region leading to satisfactorily flowering in different mango varieties during February 2011.
