Exactly ten years from 9th Symposium on the Flora of Southeastern Serbia and Neighboring Regions which was organized in honor of 70th birthday of Novica Randjelović. He was founder informal South Serbian Botanical School, Symposium on the Flora of Southeastern Serbia and Neighboring Regions, founder and first professor on Department for biology and ecology from University of Niš. Even though he was in eight decades professor Randjelović was tirelessly continued with research. He published many scientific papers. Especially are important those with description of new species from his favorite genus Crocus - C. jablanicensis (Ranđelović et al., 2011) i C. danubiensis (Harpke et al., 2014).
