Tourist function of the Gostynińsko-Włocławski Landscape Park = Funkcja turystyczna Gostynińsko-Włocławskiego Parku Krajobrazowego

The need to relax away from urban crowd and bustle leads people to travel to the areas of high natural value and low intensity of use. Landscape parks meet these requirements, and their legal status helps to easily recognize these areas. One of such parks is Gostynińsko-Włocławski Landscape Park (GWPK), where the natural richness is complemented with recreational and landscape values, as well as elements of tourist infrastructure and services. The aim of the paper is to evaluate the level of development of tourist function in GEPK, which includes the characteristics of the tourist resources, level of development of tourist infrastructure and services, and level of its use. The study uses, among others, the descriptive method and valorization of natural resources of the area. In a limited scope, it also uses survey method. It concludes with the statement, that the most valuable resources of the study area are natural ones, and some ecosystems are unique on the national level. Tourist infrastructure, in turn, is lowly developed, particularly in terms of its quality. It is one of the barriers to develop tourism in GWPK, and a reason for insufficient use of its resources for tourism and recreation
