ミナミキュウシュウ カラ エラレタ カイユウセンニンフグ Lagocephalus suezensis (フグモク: フグカ)

Thirteen and eleven specimens (42.1–185.9 mm standard length) of Lagocephalus suezensis (Tetraodontiformes: Tetraodontidae) were collected from Kagoshima and Miyazaki Prefectures respectively. These specimens represent the first reliable records of L. suezensis from southern Kyushu, Japan. Detailed comparisons of L. suezensis with a related species, L. sceleratus, are given in this study. In addition, examination of literatiure and specimens previously identified as L. sceleratus reveals that L. suezensis is widely distributed in the western Pacific. Aquarium observation of L. suezensis is also briefly reported here.鹿児島県の東シナ海側と宮崎県からフグ目フグ科の小型種カイユウセンニンフグ Lagocephalus suezensis がそれぞれ 13 と 11 個体採集された．これらは南九州沿岸における本種の初記録となる．本研究ではこれらの標本を記載し，近縁種センニンフグ Lagoceph，alus sceleratus との詳細な比較検討を行った．また, カイユウセンニンフグはこれまで地中海，紅海，および日本からのみ記録があるに過ぎなかったが，本研究で過去の文献および標本調査を行ったところ，本種が西部太平洋に広く分布することが明らかになった. さらに, 本種の飼育下における行動観察の結果を付記した
