Current and future microelectronics systems are more and more complex. In a aim to bridge the gap between the cyber world and the physical world we observe the emergence of multi-disciplinary systems that interact more and more with their close surrounding environment. The conception of such systems requires the knowledge of multiple scientific disciplines which tends to define them as heterogeneous systems.
