Chebyshev Polynomials and Elliptic Curves over Finite Fields

We study the number of the rational points of elliptic curves defined over finite fields as polynomials in the trace of the Frobenius endomorphism. We find Chebyshev polynomials are closely related to them and get many formulas involving factorization, discriminant, values of inner product etc
