The purposes of this thesis are to clarify the features of the performing groups of a festive music of Kakunodate (Oyama-bayashi), and the ways of preserving Performing Arts in local area in times. In consequence of the field works and examining of the local newspapers, conclusions as follows were brought. 1) Oyama-hayashi has been transmitted in relations with other performing arts, the social circumstances and the life styles of farm areas, changing the contexts of performances. 2) Performing gropes of Oyama-bayashi have changed the features of the organizations corresponding to the social changes, and gropes that adjusted to the external changes obtained the opportunities to perform. 3) In results of changes of life styles, the disappear...
