Statistics are presented on patients discharged from short-stay hospitals, based on data abstracted by the Hospital Discharge Survey from a national sample of records of discharged patients. In this second of a series of reports dealing with 1965 data, hospital discharges, days of care, and average length of stay are distributed by such variables as age, sex, color, marital status, and discharge status. Discharge rates, daily hospital bed usage rates, and rates of days of care are distributed by age, sex, and marital status[by Michael J. Witkin
