Hantavirus

Humans can get the disease from contact with infected rodents or their urine and feces (poop). HPS was discovered by CDC researchers in 1993 and has since been seen throughout the U.S. Although rare, HPS can be deadly. To avoid getting sick from hantavirus, eliminate or minimize contact with rodents in your home, work\uc2\uad place, or campsite. Seal up holes and gaps in and around your home or garage.
