In this paper we propose two microstrip array configurations suitable for integration with optical beam forming networks. Rigorous full wave analyses of both array configurations, based on the spectral domain technique and incorporating accurate modelling of the coaxial feeds are implemented to investigate the impedance behaviour, scan performance, beam efficiency and cross polarization levels of each proposed array
