Nós observamos o processo de Transferência de energia induzida por luz entre o Cr+3 e o Gd+3 no cristal de GdAlO3 dopado com cromo, o que acreditamos ser a primeira observação clara de ocorrência desse processo em sólidos. Também obtivemos os espectros de absorção, luminescência e excitação dos cristais de GdAlO3 e GdAlO3:Cr+3 e medimos os tempos de decaimento da excitação do Gd+3 no GdAlO3:Cr+3.
