SAŽETAK. Cilj: Escherichia coli (E. coli) uzrokuje i do 80% izvanbolničkih infekcija mokraćnog sustava. Zbog nužnosti empirijske terapije infekcija mokraćnog sustava došlo je do pojave smanjene osjetljivosti uzročnika na antibiotike. Cilj ovog rada bio je istražiti kretanje osjetljivosti izolata E. coli u petogodišnjem razdoblju na području Primorsko-goranske županije. Metode: U Laboratoriju za urogenitalne infekcije Mikrobiološkog odjela Nastavnog zavoda za javno zdravstvo Primorsko-goranske županije od 2003. od 2007. godine izolirano je 18.869 sojeva E. coli.
