Onlookers applaud as Robert C. McHarness is awarded his honorary Doctor of Science degree at Linfield College\u27s 1982 commencement ceremony. McHarness, a 1928 alumnus, worked for DuPont and was involved in the discovery and manufacture of Teflon and Freon. On stage, President Charles U.
