This book, based on original, empirical research, provides an in-depth account of auto-biographical media production activities by younger learners. It examines their motivations and dispositions in storying their identity in short video pieces using a range of methods, including multimodal analysis. It hypothesises that the learners' authoring and editing practices are examples of a new cultural and literacy practice, that of self-curatorship: the representation through life of identity and affiliation in digital media. It considers the implications of this for teaching and learning and proposes a manifesto for a new media education
