The review shows that there are very few studies on the environmental impact of hedges on water resources in temperate climate. This is probably partly due to the lack of interest in the past for the environmental questions, to the initial goals of hedges in old agricultural areas and to the strong opposition of agricultural elites towards the bocage. / Le bilan conduit ici met en avant la rareté des travaux spécifiques sur l'impact environnemental des haies vis à vis de la ressource en eau en climat tempéré.
