In order to recognize the efficiency of a fluridone treatment on an immersed plant (Lagarosiphon major (RIDLEY) MOSS), laboratory tests have been conducted in aquariums that contained sandy and muddy sediments. The plants growth evolution and the fluridone concentrations in water and sediments were monitored during four months, and showed that the sediment organic matter, by catching part of the active matter, plays a limiting role on the efficiency of this species treatment.
