The AGREGEE model (Adaptation of the GRADEX model to Rare and Extreme floods by the Generalization of its Elementary Estimates) is a tool to estimate rare and extreme floods. It was developed for this thesis which includes 10 chapters: the first 3 are a description of the different methods used throughout the world to estimate extreme floods, the GRADEX method and the ways it has been improved since 1967.
