The first section covers aspects related to the evolution of piscicultural populations of the Seine basin at different temporal perception levels. The biogeographic origin of the fauna is reviewed. The influence of human activities on its current composition is underlined, and the evolution of the population structure from the middle of last century is detailed for each section of the basin. The second section is an analysis of the current organization of populations, at the basin scale, in connection with a few environmental parameters.
