The aim of this project consists in the design of an help guidance system for an auto-propelled mower. We want to illustrate the fact that in a natural environment we need to use lots of different algorithms to reach our goal : control the upkeep machine. We briefly present here two methods used to detect a reap limit. The first one is a good segmentation process which also demand a powerfull hardware because of its computing time costs. The second one is a more simple threshold technique less efficient but less expensive in computing time. We introduce discussion elements concerning the possibility of algorithms merging and, overall, date merging.
