The Engineering Management Program at Portland State University is a graduate program designed to address the needs of engineers and scientist whose objective it is, to advance to technical management positions in business, industry, or government. The program has existed for about ten years and appears to be successful, however, there has been relatively little measurable feedback on the effectiveness of the program. To maintain and improve the quality of the program, it was necessary to assess the level to which it was meeting its objectives.
