Collaborative security: pointers for government\ud representatives and corporate security personnel

International criminal organizations are forming working associations and alliances with international terrorist groups and these networks are becoming increasingly imaginative in the way they share knowledge and transmit data and information to each other. As a consequence, government officials and corporate security experts need to develop closer links between the corporate sector and relevant government departments in order to counteract the threats posed. Senior managers in the partnership arrangement need to find unique solutions to recurring problems and one way that this can be achieved is through a transparent organizational culture that facilitates information sharing. Policy makers also need to think in terms of integrating homeland security objectives in their country with homeland security objectives in other countries, if that is, a collectivist approach to security is to be adopted
