RNA interference (RNAi) has been used in functional genomics and offers innovative approaches in the development of novel therapeutics. The current study examined the potential of small interfering RNAs (siRNA) against human peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma (PPAR gamma) to suppress adipocyte differentiation (adipogenesis) in human preadipocytes and fetal-femur-derived mesenchymal cells.
