OBJECTIVE - Visfatin is elevated in obesity and type 2 diabetes and is thought to be an inflammatory mediator within atherosclerotic lesions and to induce gelatinase activity. RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS - Human endothelial cells were transfected with pNF-kappa B-Luc plasmid.
