To assess the effect of asthma self-management education interventions delivered in mainstream school settings on asthma morbidity. Randomised parallel group trials will be eligible. We will include cluster-randomised controlled trials in the review. We will include studies which recruit children or adolescents with a diagnosis of asthma who are attending a primary/elementary or secondary/high school. Our review will address the delivery of education to students who have asthma, with or without the inclusion of teaching staff or peers from the same school
