Despite current research evidence connecting family involvement to students\u27 academic learning, non-mainstream families\u27 funds of knowledge are insufficiently valued as relevant to public schools\u27 curricula and academic genres, a practice that limits diverse families\u27 inclusion as equal partners in their children\u27s education.
