This paper introduces an optimization algorithm to determine the optimal temperature for isothermal mold filling in Resin Transfer Molding. Experimental data are presented for the flow front during mold filling, for the viscosity dependence on temperature of unsaturated polyester resin and for the temperature during the curing reaction. All experimental data are modeled mathematically. These models make it possible to determine the optimal temperature graphically. Brent's algorithm for the minimization of unimodal functions was used to compute the optimal temperature numerically.
