L’étude de la familiarité spatiale veut mesurer à quel degré les lieux qui composent tant l'espace de vie que la carte mentale d'un individu lui sont familiers. Se basant sur l'étude de Gale, Golledge, Halperin et Couclelis (1990), l'article explore la familiarité spatiale des habitants de deux communes périurbaines au nord de Liège (Belgique) : il questionne les liens entre les différentes dimensions cognitives (visuelle, toponymique, localisation) entre elles, et vis-à-vis de la dimension comportementale (fréquentation).
