The presentation attempts to capture some of the most striking questions posed by cross-border capital market litigation. These questions are studied using as background the rules of European private international law. The purpose of the presentation was not only to provide information on these rules, but also to verify whether the application of these rules indeed raise difficult issues and, if yes, whether changes are needed
