Consciousness broadly conceived

This short text by Heinrich Rickert is here published for the first time as supplement to Rickert's "Two Ways of the Theory of Knowledge" (Kant-Studien, 1909). It is the transcription and french translation of a manuscript which has been archived in Rickert's "Nachlass" at the library of the University of Heidelberg. The issue adressed by Rickert in this text is the following: how do we have to construe the concept of knowing subject or agent to make it compatible with the requierements of an anti-naturalistic theory of knowledge?Ce bref texte du néokantien Heinrich rickert est ici publié pour la première fois comme appendice au texte de Rickert sur "Les deux voies de la théorie de la connaissance" (Kant-Studien, 1909). Il s'agit de la transcription et de la traduction française (édition bilingue) d'un manuscrit qui a été conservé dans le "Nachlass" de Rickert à la bibliothèque de l'Université de Heidelberg.
