A Study of Relationship between Internet Usage and Emotion management in junior high school students.

[[abstract]]The purpose of this study was to examine the interrelationship between internet usage and emotion management among junior high school students in Taipei county. The study was conducted using Random Sampling in one junior high school in Taipei county. Questionnaires included Internet Usage Scale and Emotion Management Scale. Questionnaires were delivered to 12 classes in one junior high school in Taipei county. There were 395 students participated in the study and 385 valid samples. The conclusion of the study summarized as follows： 1. More than 99% junior high school students used the internet , and the age of them surf the Net was lower year by year. 2. As a whole, emotion management of the students in junior high school was above the average level, the expression of emotion needed to strengthen most. 3. The variables of junior high school students’ sex, grades, social economic status, the place of internet usage, the location of computer had significant difference in junior high school students’ internet usage. 4. The variables of junior high school students’ sex, social economic status, the location of computer had significant difference in junior high school students’ emotion management. 5. The higher internet usage appeared, the higher emotion management showed. 6. There was significant prediction between junior high school students’ internet usage and emotion management.
