[[abstract]]The purpose of this thesis was to explore shame and its relative ideas, as well as the meaning and the significance shame implies in morality and moral education. In chapter two and chapter three, apart from the introduction and the discussion of shame, the relative ideas such as guilt, audience, embarrassment, humiliation and honor were also compared and explored, so as to distinguish the ideas and features of shame. The moral significance of shame was discussed in chapter four, analyzed respectively in positive and negative aspects.
