Research on the Improvement of Digital Participation for Disabled

[[abstract]]Digital participation is a basic human right for modern citizens; however, the digital divide still bars people with disabilities from participating in the digital society and e-Learning environment. Digital participation for persons with disabilities can be improved partly by providing accessibilities. The main goal of this study is promoting the abilities of digital participation for persons with disabilities. This integrated project will provide a digital participation model for persons with disabilities and constructs a digital environment with digital divide free for them. To achieve the goal of full digital participation, the integrated project consists of 3 research groups in 5 subprojects. Efforts are involved in many subprojects to investigate the present situation of digital participation and promote the digital literacy for people with disabilities. Through extensive study, the researchers of each subproject will develop a more accessible e-learning environment for children and adults with disabilities. The results of studying on persons with disabilities will provide a significant reference to rehabilitation and educational professionals who provide e-Learning services for those clients.
