[[alternative]]Water resources workers’ recent participation in water resources education

[[abstract]]Water education is one important field within environmental education. Setting water resources workers in recent year (1994-1997) for the study objective, this research takes up the status quo they engage in and views they hold toward water education. Thus according survey result and specialists' aspects, researcher proposes tasks should be implemented and suggestion toward problems of water education. Research methods employ questionnaires and personal interviews for material collection and study. On questionnaire part, there are 31 water resources workers are taken, in which 28 pieces are effective samples; on the other part, 17 water resources workers and environmental education specialists are interviewed (2 units / persons return in written form). Contents of questionnaires include manpower and position of water resources workers, content and nature of water resources plans, and the difficulties, obstacles, need, and support in implementing the education. Personal interviews, however, try to comprehend the motive, strategies, obstacles, and the perspective when they perform water education, and also environmental education specialists' view and suggestion toward problems of water education. According to the consequence, the suggestion that researcher given for present water education situation is as follows: in the effectuation process by formal or informal educational system, relative units' coordination, medium communities' cooperation, and steady supplies support will facilitate plans. And the improvement in teaching material and methods, establishment of exhibition facilities, the training of instructors, and activities programs or evaluation for water resources will bring water education into practice.
