[[abstract]]Using simulator to evaluate the performance of processors is an importantstep in designing processors. Most simulators are designed for one specific processor. Our configurable simulator is more flexible in defining the framework and modifying the parameters. Following the trend of processor design, we focus on the simulation of superscalar processors. We use Trace-driven simulation method in the simulation. In this paper, we introduce the factors which affect the performance and correctness of superscalar processors designed. We also describe some approaches that can enhance the performance and guarantee the correctness. Moreover, we find some workable frameworks of superscal...
