[[abstract]]The study of EMG and strength performance in different ergometers 2005.7.15 Sheng-wei Dai Advisor: Su-Yun Shue Abstract The main purpose of this study was to investigate if EMG and strength performance were significantly different when using two different ergometers: the Constant model(C) and Self-Balance model (SB). Nine Canoe athletes from Taipei Physical Education College had been chosen in this study and the subjects’ average age, height and weight were 21.44(±1.67)yrs, 172.68(±6.46)cm, 68.42(±8.79)Kg respectively. All subjects were assigned to paddle in C and SB ergometer for 30 seconds each and their EMG for relative muscle contraction were recorded by using tensiometer, electropad, information synchronizer and Bio-P...
