[[abstract]]The purpose of this study was to understand the process of illness and recovery from depression in women, the factors associated with and the roles that society and culture played in the process. The co-researchers were invited from female patients who have been diagnosed major depression by psychiatrist and now have recovery or improvement from depression. Qualitative in-depth interview was conducted to collect three co-researchers description of their experience about the process of illness and recovery from depression. Because of the consideration of limited time, researcher analyzed the data of two co-researchers only. The interview data was transcribed and analyzed carefully.
