[[abstract]]The purpose of the study was to compare the differences between gifted students and regular students both in Adversity Quotient and Social Interest. For gifted students, different background variables were considered in order to examine their effects on Adversity Quotient and Social Interest. Besides, this research explores the correlation between Adversity Quotient and Social Interest. The explanation of Social Interest to Adversity Quotient was also investigated. Questionnaire survey was adopted in this study. The samples consisted of 388 students including gifted and regular students from 8th and 11th grades in Taipei.
