Student satisfaction is both an important, yet controversial issue within the Higher Education sector, which is typically measured through policy-driven metrics such as the National Student Survey (NSS). The aim of the current paper is to report findings of two studies conducted that explored student satisfaction amongst two samples: undergraduates and postgraduates. Many existing studies and national metrics are largely quantitative in design; the current study utilises photographic elicitation and a student-led interview approach to explore this much researched topic with a novel methodology. Results are discussed in line with the implications for current practice and Higher Education Institutions
